The marquise diamond was born of a royal commission. In 1745, Louis XV had a diamond cut into the shape of a smile for the Marquise de Pompadour: an elongated stone with tapered points, its silhouette following the curve of her lips. It was called the marquise, or navette. Three centuries later, at LAUREDI, we chose this cut not only for its history, but for what it does to light. The marquise concentrates, elongates, and makes a statement. On the finger, it refines the hand. On the wrist, it brings structure. At the neck, it draws the eye before anything else. The Mme La Marquise collection is built around one principle: a coloured lab-grown diamond, selected for its saturation and cut, surrounded by white diamonds that enhance its brilliance without competing with it. Each piece is crafted in our Paris atelier in 18-carat gold, with a choice of metal and the colour of the centre stone. Blue, pink, green, yellow, white. Five expressions of the same character.

How do I care for my gold and diamond pieces?
Prepare a solution of lukewarm water and mild washing-up liquid, then soak the jewellery for 10–15 minutes. Gently brush with a soft toothbrush, paying particular attention beneath the stones, then rinse with lukewarm water. Finish by drying with a soft, lint-free cloth.
